greg's mum, joan, died last week ...
this was at the chapel on thursday ..

i made up a card/program which we gave out to the people who came to joan's funeral .. i took her name and the dates she was born and died from the card and placed them at the bottom of this image .. in the card i also used a photograph of her when she was younger .. i brought the younger photograph into the chapel image and placed it above greg and the casket .. i was only able to get one shot of greg before i even had my camera settings right and he wouldnt stand for another one .. so i had to take a photograph of the chapel when the service was over to put with the one i took of him ..

when greg saw this image it brought him to tears ... he was glad i took his photograph after all ..

Roz, this is beautifully done. I think the way her face fades in and out of the darkness is supurb. It's almost as if she is watching over you. You handled this very very well. The balancing whites against the deep dark hues and the gentle script at the bottom are all tributes to her memory.

In grief there is loneliness, even when we have the sympathy and support of those who love us. This photo conveys that isolation but also the foreverness of memories.
