Trying to be suggestive of a meditative or yoga-like pose. Then I noticed it looks like the standard vote distribution graph ... and finally that it looks like a rear view of someone in a spotlight.

Backlit with a regular incandescent reading lamp, tripod set low (camera at about 24" off the ground), used the timer and about 10 tries to get this alignment and exposure.

Shot with exposure compensation at +1, set exposure and focus on the lamp alone and then interposed the subject during the timer countdown.

Cropped, rotated and reduced; cloned out a couple of dead pixels; did a little burning on a couple of especially bright hairs.

Great idea. Only thing I can suggest on this is to shade the light so the wall isn't visible at all. Otherwise, very good.

Too dark (even on my Mac screen) to see the stripes in the hair (just barely make them out). The floral sheet is very distracting, and you can see all sorts of stuff on the left, which really throws off the composition.

Kind of creepy. Makes me think of Dumbledore. Nice job.

I'd have cropped the left side...it's quite distracting to the otherwise very visually interesting picture.

it would probably look cleaner if there was more light coming from the background

Although I'm sure the technical things that went into this photo are impressive, the result IMO is not.

Great Idea, what we don't see is what we are trying to center on. Great job.
