Oh how beautiful! I think that new lens is going to do really well for you -- but not to say that the lens would be nothing without a talented photographer using it! Congratulations on your 2nd place award for this stunning photo.

Great shot - nice to see this scene from a slightly different angle, I'll probably get myself down there now and completely rip this idea off - much like all my other stuff!!

Congrats, Jim. At first glance I wasn't crazy about the processing, but on reflection saw it was a gorgeous photo and bumped up my vote. :-)

Judging by the water you used a fast shutter speed. So it's amazing to me that you captured this in what looks like subdued lighting. I don't see much noise either. Technicals aside, I like the angle and the scene. Great tones and textures everywhere.

ETA: HDR. Of course! Congrats...

Is this HDR? Whatever it is, used to good effect here!

I'm not a big fan of HDR because so often it is overdone. This is just on the edge for me, not quite overdone. I like that you included the bridge and that you managed to bring out the nice colours in it.

Reminds me of my trip to London last September, I would love to go back.

Not a fan of HDR, but the composition and balance of this shot is nice. The afternoon sun on the bridge is a bit too harsh and draws the eyes, unbalancing the shot.

Very nice post processing...the light is well controlled and the processing take it to the edge but I think you did not take it over the top. 8
