The house next door is rented by a group of young women. I was standing on my back balcony waiting for the moon to move to take this shot . The girl was waiting for her date who was evidently having a hard time reading the numbers on the houses. I heard her say on her cell phone, "You've gone past the house", and he pulled into a driveway and turned around. That's the car lights in the street. Actually, I snipped the car lights from another shot, and dropped them into this one. (The camera was on a tripod, so the shots were the same, just a couple of minutes apart.)

I turned this into a duotone and cranked down the exposure to make the scene look a lot more mysterious (I hope 8)).

Her posture makes her appear worried, pensive; coupled with the car lights, it draws your eye out there and wonder what just happened.

Great shot and processing. Love the hint of the person and the car's light. Your choice of tint is killer, too.

you completely accomplished the mystery. a more defined silhouette of the girl could seal the deal. very nice toning and contrast.

I love the light , framed by the deep shadows, and the girl is placed beautifully to be visible yet still a little mysterious as well.

I find this either scary, or sad depending on my mood...very nice.

Oh I truly adore this. That subtle night light from the porch is fabulous. I like the slick silvery street too.

Beautiful! I love the blue tones, does indeed look mysterious. Reminds me of the Joni Mitchell song "Car on a Hill".

This offers more than one story. One along the lines you saw - she's waiting, he's arriving. Antoher that she's simply sitting there, watching as he drives by - someone she doesn't know, will never know. Simply a passing in the night with no connection. Love the light, the tones in this - excellent way to take advantage of the situation!
