Greetings from the Critique Club!

When given an image to critique, I'll look at it first and try to guess how it scored before I look at the stats. With this one I guessed it was probably a low 6.0, so I wasn't too far off! This meets the challenge very well, is pretty well composed, has good focus, and is a pleasing subject. One thing I could suggest would be to take the shot so that you have a strong diagonal - have it start more toward the upper left corner and flow toward the lower right - but still keep that lovely curve of the three-pronged bit. That would give it a touch more energy, I think. You also have a few spots of sensor dust - not anything I'd normally notice but for a critique I do look pretty closely. Those can be cloned or healed in both advanced and basic - it's a nice finishing touch to ensure you don't give voters a reason to downgrade your entry.

The detail you've captured is amazing. Once I get past the awe of the detail there's nothing that keeps my interest though. Something is missing.

Excellent macro. Really love the polen on the bottom stamen (?). Don't think it needed to be so desaturated.
