Started Playing around and took @ 30 shots...some were too serious, others to OOF. I ended up liking this Angus Young meets Eddie Van Halen (I hear he has quit smoking) look.

Excellent shot! You captured the "bad" habit in this picture.

Overall the composition is nice, but you have an unfortunate overlap.
The position of the hot end of the cigarette adds a diluting touch of humor to an otherwise dramatic and intense image. Your beard is on fire!

Of all the cigarette submissions, this is the most original. It also would qualify for "unusual viewpoint." Nice work with the wide angle lens. Make it pop even more with a whisp of smoke from the cigarette - moved down away from his beard. (The smoke would relly look good right in front of the strap.) Overall - high marks!

Quit smoking or quit playing the guitar with your shirt off?

cool composition and depth of field, the cropping leaves something to be desired. I would have liked to have seen the subjects eyes...maybe he could be exhaling some smoke?

Yeah, guitars are a really bad habit and tend to annoy the neighbors. hint hint, electric guitars really suck at 8 am on a Sunday upstairs neighbor. As for the photo itself it is well composed and framed. Seems slightly back focused from the cigarette but it doesn't distract. Good use of DOF.

Oh yes, the best by far. Love the crop, just perfect. The composition is really impressive with the eye starting out on the cigarette, then following the kneck of the guitar. Brilliant.
