A few people have asked to see the images used in this at a larger size, so I have uploaded them into my portfolio.
These images were taken on a trip through outback Qld, when I went back to my hometown of Augathella to visit my Aunt. We went out to visit friends on a property (Lucknow Station), and as we were leaving, nearly at the boundary, there was two dingos feeding on a kangaroo carcass. Usually it's quite rare to see dingos.
I couldn't believe my luck when they came across the road and along a dirt track that was right behind my car. I just kept clicking and prayed that my settings were OK, as they came out of the sun and into the shade. It was late in the evening, and it certainly made my day.
Unfortunately they are on the wrong side of the dingo barrier fence, and will be targeted, as they attack maim and kill, calves, sheep and lambs.
There is currently a bounty of $30.00 for a dingo scalp.
The kangaroo was photographed at Lucknow too.
The mother emu and her two young ones were photographed near the highway between Blackall and Barcaldine. |

Three beautiful photos, I love the light and colours. Nicely laid out as well. I would love to see Australia one day. |
