I REALLY appreciate all comments, but... perhaps glasses are in order in this case, 21_F.gif vawendy? *friendly smile*

For 21_N.gif Tanguera, in addition to the two large eyes, "bees have three simple eyes that are called ocelli (singular: ocellus), near the top of their head. Ocelli are simple eyes that do not focus but provide information about light intensity."

The other two are farther up this bee's head forming a triangle with the red one you see in the middle (they're all red on this one).

Did you focus on one of the eyes? I feel your focus could be just a little bit better in the center. 7

That's Ms. Bzzzz to you! If those really big round things are it's eyes, what's the red dot in the center...???? Creepy cool.

Seems a little too close to me. I'd be interested to see what it looked like a little farther out. (It was odd, but I had to move back to really focus on it. )

Cool bug shot, not sure if it says April even for an "insect calendar." : )
