These images were taken with a view to going in the backlit challenge, which they didn't. They are simply a tree in my backyard.
Open new file background colour set to a green from foliage.
Open 1st image which had already been processed with usm, brightness/contrast, border, copy,paste onto green file, move,
2nd image resize to 1300 px on long side, sharpen X 2, brightness/contrast, border, copy, paste onro green file, move and transform scale, flatten image, add border, resize, stw. |

well you have votes for the border.... I gotta go against it.. It just doesn't work for me. I think it makes the color a bit garish.
I think I like the one on the right by itself... Maybe its the black that is actually doing it to me. Maybe thin black border w/ white overall background?

| Beautiful green colors. I like the detail on the right. Perhaps the green border is a little bit thick. It separates the detail so much from the left. |
