It will bomb, surely. But maybe someone will like it.

--------------
Picking through shots, this one stood out and made me think of those medieval paintings depicting some martyred saint or other being lifted up into the heavens, surrounded by an accompanying group of angels. Not that I had that in mind at the point of taking the image, granted...

how beautiful is this .. the flowers look so dreamy .. nearly a submerged feeling .. wot is it with those voters .??. quite a lot of them must be mentally and artistically challenged .. lol ..:)

Fabulous! Grows on me. Love your explication of what it evokes in you; now that I have that inb mind, I cand efinitely see it that way, though I didn't at first. But there IS a sense of striving, of reaching and lifting.

Soooo underrated! I gave it a 7 in voting. I didn't recognize it as a Lensbaby shot, but I love the soft, dreamy focus. It's wonderfully artistic.

I didn't vote (shame on me) so did not see this. I think it's pretty cool. I feel like I am swimming in a sea of flowers. The softness is beautiful!

Order of the Thumb is a wonderful thing - congrats! Has almost an underwater dreamlike effect - very pleasing, very comforting.

uh-oh, I raced by this too fast while I was voting. I did score you two higher than my average for the challenge, though! :D

An image that sucks you in, slowly, slowly; I feel that I, and the flowers, am drowning, but happy - content, at peace.

This has an amazingly mesmeric effect. Of course it feels like underwater, but I don't think it can be. The impression is that everything is swaying in and out of clear perception in some kind of sinuous dance ordained by the light shining from above. It feels like I'm in a place where I'm being bewitched by siren song into staying when I know I should leave. Something like being on the edge of death, and knowing it, and not really minding too much.

It's a photograph of rare reach, here or indeed anywhere, and I love it. 10. And the Order of the Thumb.

Hmmm. I like it. When it first popped up I thought I saw a face in there, but I lost it almost immediately. This really just has a nice, soft, comfy feel to it. Except for the shallow DOF this feels like a pinhole shot. Wait a minute! Maybe it's a Lensbaby shot with the pinhole optic! Or maybe not. :)

I am not sure what we have here, it might be nice in color...not so appealing in this color choice
