I hope you are careful when shooting in an abandoned building!
This location is actually quite safe to visit, there's no security, not even a fence you have to climb to get in, the buildings are mostly stable and the rooms brightly lit (except for this one...lol). It's become quite a "tourist" spot for photographers or people who call themselves urban explorers so you'll always step into someone when you're there.
However there are abandoned sites (and especially the trespassing ones) that are quite dangerous due to rotten flooring, unstable architecture, asbestos or goofy people you don't wish to meet in such a location...;)
Not to mention the risk of being caught by some security when you're trespassing.
I usually wear hiking boots for precaution and carry a strong maglite, a mobile and pepper spray (just in case) along with my camera and an open eye for holes in or glass/nails on the floor.
WOW - mega impressed with your use of architecture, light and shadow. This is stunning. Worthy of an art magazine. So glad you decided to jump in. Welcome aboard.
