good idea. it might have been better using just one modern building juxtaposed with the gothic structure in the forground.

I like the contrast of old and new. The three buildings is a little confusing though. Maybe more to the left or right to eliminate the building in the middle. Verticle might be nice too. 5

Do variations equall opposites?
05/15/2004 02:20:58 PM
Your title leads me to believe you didn't capture the "opposite" concept, but rather mere differences. Also, I can't put my finger on it - but the blue band doesn't seem quite right.

Nicely done - image space is divided in a very pleasing manner. I wish the white area between the two left buildings were not so prominent. Still a very competitive entry.

Similar in theme to my entry for "out of place" but with much more impressive buildings... the light on the church window seems to "echo" the different colours of the buildings which helps to pull the whole thing together..nice work.

I like the depth of field and lighting. Detail is great. Something feels odd about that wedge shaped light between the two leftmost buildings, but a nice image.

challenge met but it's a boring photo

This is a very nice composition in texture, color and form. A slightly different aspect, camera more to the left that would remove that slice of sky would help me as the tilt of the camera to the buildings already makes the two buildings on the right appear to be in one photo and the one on the left a collage.

An 8.

Interesting! WIsh there was a way you could have gotten the shot without the building on the left in the frame... guess you couldn't ask them to move it though huh? Nice job...
