		| there are many pictures in this challenge with tape over the mouth. According to some commenters, they were better; I disagree. This image shows silence of a different kind - a forced silence, a dangerous silence. Some of the others are trite - they are essentially just a person with tape over their mouth. With your composition, processing and toning, your image shows emotion. I really like it and think you did a great job generating a reaction from the viewer. At least this one. Forget the votes... |

So many "duct tape over the mouth" images in this challenge. I have lost count.
It just does not evoke the feeling of "Silence" to me. The title also says nothing to me. This to me says "Silenced" but not "Silence" 5 |

Lighting is really harsh, and it's not really working in this image. Sorry! :(

		| It's a little blown out, and there's not really a focus point, the duct tape doesn't quite look like duct tape, except in the highlights. nice idea (and nice detail in the eyelashes and eyebrows). |

		| I like the downward gaze and lighting. Unfortunately one of many sharing this theme. |

		| It seems a bit over exposed IMO. Also the tape tends to blend in with what she is wearing. |

		| There are a number of the same type of image submitted. The harsh lighting in this really hurts the image. |

I can't believe I'm the first, but I'll definitely not be the last:

 Duct. It's Duct Tape.

Kudos to trying for the shock value though. |

		| nice to see someone attempting a grittier take on the challenge - the processing compliments this shot well. |

		| This image captures me with the gritty realism of a crime shot image. I think the processing adds to the grittiness. |
