Post challenge: Okay, so the image is definitely crooked. I was sort of kicking myself after the first comment. I noticed that it was crooked when I was first doing PP on it but I didn't correct it first. The plant was on a different angled ground than the hill from where I was taking the picture from (and my tripod sucks). But then I had been staring at the picture for a long time at full resolution and eventually it became less and less obvious until I forgot about it. *sigh*

I got a couple messages from people who thought that my title was a "political" statement of sorts. It was not. I was merely referring to the way the sunlight reflected off of the water vapor. As I stood there taking the pictures, reminded me of flames. I hope that didn't affect my score.

A really nice shot, I would have preferred the horizon to be more level but still a very good job

Please. Cooling towers = water vapor. It isn't "scorching" anything for goodness sake. (OK, jumping to the conclusion that this a "political" statement, which I shouldn't do. I do apologize if the intent was not geared that way - I admit to a bias towards nuclear power.)

I do like the composition, and the lovely colors of the sky and the sky reflections in the steam clouds. Cooling towers are a welcome sight to me.

This is a nice image, but I wish it was straight - I wonder why you didn't spend just 2 more seconds in PP putting that right.
