Late afternoon on a spring-like day and there were birds all over the place. These three were waiting for me to go back inside so they could continue eating the seed that other birds dropped near my birdfeeders.

Could have used a smidge more DOF to get the 3rd bird in better focus.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, white balance, colored/burned one tree to make it recede more, dodged birds, increased contrast, hand-sharpened head of farthest dove, burnt his beak a little, added border, resized, sharpened.

I have these visiting my bird feeder also. When I go outside they always take off. I love the noises they make and the way they bob their heads when they walk. They looks so clueless! :)

The DOF is great and I wouldn't change a thing. Nice lines with the tree framing and curve of the branch. Beautiful capture with great coloration!

That is beautiful the way the colours work together.

The blue background is a perfect compliment to these Doves.

These visit my feeder during the warmer months. Can always tell when cold is coming. These guys tend to disappear at the first hint of cold.

Don't you love the sound they make? We have them too. Once I looked outside and two were touching, as they sat on the railing of our deck.
