I've become quite the fan of lighthouses and I really like this one. I like the B&W version but this one is just a bit stronger, I think a bright sunny day like that begs for those rich colors. Awesome job cloning and overall editing - huge improvement over original!

Both are good edits and pretty good job cloning out that pesky fence! Honestly, I don't know what people are thinking when they put those things up - obviously they're not taking our needs into consideration. I like the B&W version as well (I often prefer monochrome) but a lighthouse such as this seems to want color. Nice work!

Great improvement with the fence gone. Iagree that the cloning is a bit noticeable, buut you certainly chose something challenging to clone out. The colours are great in this one. The b&w is nice too, but I prefer the coloured one.

excellent process .. love the way the brickwork has been made so much more obvious with your processing .. a great texture & your colours are great ...
i noticed the blury bits in the grass in front of the building and wondered about them .. i then looked at your original .. then i read your processing steps .. probably a nit pick coz its a great image now .. :)

I think you did a pretty good job removing the fence. A little work on the main building wall would help, but I didn't notice it at first. Great colors and shot!

Great recovery, but I agree with the comments by cgino, your cloning is very obvious. Another tip is to use a really fuzzy brush, not just a soft-edged round one.

No kidding -- excellent job! I also prefer the color version, but that might depend on the viewing context -- the B&W is also a fine image, and there are many times when that would be the more appropriate version.

I think I've actually seen this lighthouse, though it would have been almost 30 years ago.

The B&W version is very cool, but I like the bright cheery colors of this one better. Aren't you a brave sole to clone out that fence, I know how much work it is to do that and it is so much nicer without it! One problem I've run into when using the photoshop clone tool (which I assume you used?) is that you can easily get repeated bits very easily if you don't change your sample constantly; also you can end up with some blurring. What I've found works better in many cases is to use the patch tool :-)
