This is my entry for the Best of 2008 Posthumous Open.

Thanks for all the comments and awards/nominations. It was a fun experience. :)

A little background on the image that I couldn't give during the challenge. The dude on the left is actually a woman. She runs the part of the laundromat where you drop off your laundry and she washes and folds them for you. The man on the right is the actual owner of the laundromat. The name of the laundromat is "Wash and Fold"

Didn't I fave this already? Maybe another version... or another website, even.

B&W Laundromat machine reflections: or my first impression from the thumb - sea cabin portals.
a measured and thoughtful ordinary life view.

I find I am looking back and forth between the two reflections, my brain tells me they should be the same but they aren't! That adds quite a lot of interest

That's very unusual, and very good.

Great pose on the guy on the right. He reminds me of a matador. I don't know if the guy on the left is keeping up.

Very cool. Just like Les said - these look like binoculars! Love that there are two separate stories here joined in one scene.

My kind of photo... there's a particular kind of silence it pours over me.

This is good. Really good. Clever. Like two brooches viewed through goggles. Same place and same time yet distinctively different.

Are these actual reflections or is this a composite? Either way, it's an intriguing image. One commenter says she feels like a peeping Tom; for me, the REAL peeping Tom is the dude in the left washer :-)

I feel like a peeping Tom as I look at this. It is so everyday, but also so private.

Ohh... I like this one! So everyday and then fascinating on top of it.
