 This shot was taken on the beach of a golf resort called San Lameer. It is located in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Right after the storm passed I ran to the beach to get a few shots of the lightning in the ocean. Adjustments made include playing around with white balance, contrast and exposure. Finished it off with noise reduction (due to ISO being way too high), resizing for web, and finally sharpening it a bit.

I think this could be greatly enhanced by turning it into a panorama - cutting off the top third of the sky. This would strengthen the vibrancy of the lavender hues and the power and dominance of the lightening bolts.
