I wanted to practice 'panning' and get a photo of the train 'frozen' and the rest of the world blurred. i think i got it here, and of course i love supersaturating and over sharpening my shots . . . (also rotated and cropped - all adjustments were to the entire photo).

7 - because the motion of the train is very well captured

I could see myself liking this more if it were more in focus. I understand that it must have been challenging just to get this capture. Good effort.

Good job with the pan-and-shoot (or did you just select the background and blur?). Nice colors and saturation. Contrast could use a slight boost, IMO.

The thing about motion blur is that it has to be enough to be clearly deliberate, not to look like the background is just out of focus. Very nice try, but IMHO it just misses the mark.

Good example of panning to motion blur the unmoving and clarify the moving. I really does look like a toy train.

Looks sureal. More blur would have been better looking though this is a unique shot.

Nice motiion blur. I think it would have been better to have more of the train though, and perhaps to adjust a bit for the up perspective.

I gave this a five. Mainly because I couldn't tell if this is a real scene (I think it is) or a model train with a poster in the background. It was mostly just confusing to me because of the title. I don't understand the choice of blurred background. The reason I gave it as high as a five is because I like the composition if the background wasn't all blurred. Also, I'm guessing I'm missing some element that would enlighten me.

I really love the set-up and idea here. I wish there wasn't such a difference in focus and clarity between the background and the train. But great idea!!!

Nice, although the all-present blur somehow doesn't work for me.

Nice shot!

I think the background is a little too blury. it detracts some from the train.

Tricky shot to accompilsh. I think the area beneath the rails should be cropped out.
