 This was taken on a trip I took with my son to the Grand Teton Mountains. We took several hikes during our stay, but this one was the most scenic. It took us up through the mountains and around Taggert and Bradley Lakes. The trip was in the middle of July and there was still snow on the mountains above 10,000 feet. We hiked near the top of one of the mountains. My son was throwing snowballs at me! It was a wonderfully memorable trip.

a postcard like scene - i wonder about the choice of crop and composition though - the very far left section of the image doesn't seem to add much (especially the rock in the extreme lower left) - i wonder if setting up slightly to the right of your position could have emphasized the mountains even further

i like the use of the log on the right to draw our attention in using the diagonal line without impacting the reflection of the mountain below, but i think that anchoring the scene on the right with the bright rocks in the water could really make this scene a winner
