Taken while my husband and I were walking around Salida, Colorado. Several people were kayaking on the Arkansas River which runs through town. We had a perfect vantage point on a bridge overlooking the river. It was the perfect photo opportunity for "Something New" - I have never photographed Kayakers before and have not taken any pictures in Salida before! It was really fascinating watching them. Sometimes, they tip right over and are upside down in the water. Most of them wear clips on their noses, must be to keep the water out when they tip over.

The look of concentration helps establish that this is possibly a new endeavor. Good stop-motion exposure, focus, framing/cropping.

Nice expression on the guy's face and good sense of action. It is perhaps a little grainy and over-sharp.

IMHO I think you should have cropped it a bit tighter to reduce the amount of water in the picture and get a stronger focus on the main subject. But it is still a very good shot!
