editing steps. Well, it's a JPG, something I left behind in Aug 04, but this is May 04. The worst thing about this image was blown highlights in the straw. The key on this one was the crop though, which eliminated a distracting pipe rail. I did a lot more dodging and burning than I knew how to do in 2004, especially in the mid-day light which had made the filly's body highly contrasted and dark. I also darkened the outside edges to bring the attention back to the subject.
I bet this was something to watch in person, and it looks like that little one can barely stand. FWIW, I really didn't notice the blown highlights until I read your comments.
