Nicely lit. I like the colors, nice and bold. Great capture of the sand splash. With only a single subject, I'd have preferred the sand line be closer to horizontal in the upper champer.

A light or flash from behind the red background would've made this photo stand out.

If it would have bin possible to see the border of the glass on the left side as well as on the right side it would even be better. pitty to see it fade into the background

it is different to see someone interpret sand in a way that you wouldn't think. in my opinion it is nice to see people go out of the box and to see things that are not related to the beach or the obvious picture that comes into the mind when you think of sand. this picture however quite different is in my opinion a little boring to look at you should have done something different with the sand timer be creative!!!!!

mmmmmmm.....what work and what don't work in this photo(as my personal opinion)
work: sharpness,clean photo
don't work: the reflection on the hourglass, the red background perhaps too bright it's difficult see the border of the hourglass, the composition in the middle of the frame, not a particularry nice hourglass, the plastc look don' t work on these photos better an old hourglass if is available(ho yes probably if you had a very old hourlass the shot could be very different...)
