Surprised I didn't leave a comment. I was one of the 8. The toning, movement and composition work together to create a great shot.

This is what I don't get about DPC. A 5.0432 on a picture like this is a little depressing. This is what the art of photography is all about. I know photography on this site is more about pretty pictures of flowers, birds, frogs, and water drops, but TO ME... it should about the art of life... which this is.

Good energy and chaos.

Nice focus on the foreground texture. All the rest is uncomfortibly mushy, for me at least.

Reminds me of the man about to step into the water. Really old bw photo.

Good job conveying motion, and I like the inclusion of only the lower half of the body.

An interesting in-between sort of presentation as far as the color tones and composition. This could be seen as somewhat ominous - the young man is being chased, or it could be seen as joyful - a young man enjoying the shoreline. I'm going for the latter, I've decided.

I am first truck by the adolescent lankiness of the subject...the longer I take in this photograph, the more it changes...person becomes something more pure, something all the more intriguing...absolute movement and energy in a split second of invisible time.
