 I'm not a golfer, but this image came to mind when thinking of sand. Went out to a local course just after sunrise (i.e., before golfers were on the course) and snapped a few of a ball in a trap near the green. Wish I could have had someone along to hack at the ball, creating sand spray which would have been more dynamic.

Nice compostition. I like the placement of all the different elements in the frame. Flag stick should probably be true vertical as otherwise it looks tilted.

This is what I was trying to get and have a title of "gimme?", but couldn't get access onto a golf course. Very well shot with the flag in the background.
