 I wanted to title it 'The Dragon', but a friend said it looks nothing like a dragon. He thought it looked like an alien. I think it looks like a dragon. So I'm just going to go with..... The Creature

A Piece of wood out at Standley Lake. That's the lake in the background. Mostly frozen. It was something like 2° out there. I was proud of my Pentax, it did well out in the cold.

Edits: Opened with Photomatix and did some tone mapping. Pretty much the default settings. Then in CS3, Slight rotate, crop, convert to B&W, and then some dodge on the log.

No, not a personification outtake. I was just out at the lake shooting and liked how this looked.

This looks like a troll in LOTRO! Thats how they look when they fight. Amazing picture of a weird nauture thingie.

An absolutely wonderful photograph. Great contrast, composition and depth of field. Perfect sense of semi-life and movement in the Creature itself. Fantastic stuff. My choice for the Blue. 10.

Wow, what a cool subject. Your processing really created an emphasis on the relationship between the wooden objects and makes it looks almost like someone hugging the other. Nice
