I just used an off-camera light source and a polarizing filter to take care of some of the reflections on the counter-top.

Well, it's a shadow challenge and you cut off his shadow. The edge of the counter is visible and crooked. Photos of statues just don't evoke much interest.

Nice shot in a sad kinda way. There's a bunch of distracting white lines running from top to around the centre though.

That's one gloomy Santa. Though the lighting seems to be in the right place, the whole thing is a bit dull. Needs more contrast?
