Regarding [user]Connor[/user]'s question, "how did you keep the star up?": It's a foam star that I tossed several times into my sink, so I just triggered the shutter/flash as best as I could at the moment of impact.

The fabric that unfortunately shows up is from a blue shirt I put in the sink to give me the background. I'm not happy with having the distraction of the fabric, but I only had a short amount of time to enter this and couldn't redo anything.

I'm honestly surprised at the score. I thought it would get closer to 6 since it's fun and I'm fairly happy with the wave I caught. Oh well, I do wish I had some constructive criticisms to go by as I'm really stumped about what to do differently aside from the fabric distraction. I suppose it might just be too boring a subject.

the wave/ splash is pretty cool - i just wish the lighting on the top of the star were a bit brighter

Very simple composition - I love the splash. Given the yellow on blue contrast is a central feature of the image, I think I would have given a bit more saturation of those colours - but then I'm not very subtle!
