Had to drop my son off at hockey practice Saturday morning at 6:45am. On the way home I drove by old downtown Carrollton, TX. and this shop caught my eye in the dawn's early light. I liked the combination of Texas and Christmas in this shot (and that it fit the challenge).

Post Challenge: I cheated the camera over to the left in order to get the whole of the front door. This caused me to skew the plane of the camera face closer on the left and farther away on the right side. Though the top of the building horizon is straight, if you look at the sidewalk on the bottom you can see the skew. This seems to have gotten me in a bit of trouble with the the voters - understandably so.

horizon is a little crooked, but it reminds me of my house, so it made me smile.

Seems to be leaning to the left. And Texas never leans to the left.

I love this delightful scene. Very Christmas-y - looks like it should be a postcard.

Reminds me one of those pictures where there should be a challenge to accurately count the number of stars.... 3

Interesting building and shot - for me, I think I would have played with the colour temperature a little and emphasised the blue even more. I think leaving the adjacent buildings within the shot makes this one stand out - I would have tried to push that a little further for effect.

I like it though - it makes me want to go into the shop!

What a nice Christmas-y photo. The roof looks straight but the rest of the building looks a bit tilted. But aside from that it's a lovely photo with a warm feeling.
