 A shot from late autumn. This tree has a beautiful shape but in the summer, there are corn stalks in front of it. So it's only nice to shoot in late autumn or winter.

I processed it to a sepia duotone, with a "300" look (the movie) then added an overlay that gives it an old photograph feeling. The texture came from Joe'ssister texture gallery in Flickr.

Something about trees make you realize just how amazing life is, taking all the hits it gives you but keep going. The processing really emphasize this thought process, for me at least. Nicely done.

Love this, I can imagine it as an old plate from the Civil War, depicting some blasted battlefield.
