 18 months ago Emma was rescued from the pound. She was grossly obese (43kg), had little fur on her back and had a chronic severe ear infection that ultimately required major surgery.
This was her the first day she came home with my sister in law


This is Emma today. 27 kgs, full coat, no pain from her ear and full of life and joy

nice story. glad for the dog. It amazes me every day what you can find in the dog pound. Other people's rejects that they didn't take any time at all to learn about. I got my purebred Australian shepard from a pound too.

Don't you just love happy endings! Makes enduring all the rest worthwhile. Looks like she has a case of the "zoomies" here; I love it when they run for the sheer joy of it :-)

wot a wonderful story sue ... brings tears to my eyes .. animal abuse is a terrible thing .. i'm so glad that emma found ppl who treat her right .. she must have found it hard to walk around at 43kg .. very uncomfortable .. its a beautiful photograph and an excellent card ... :)
