 I put a marshmellow in a glass pan and filled it with a little water (to soften the look of the marshmellow). I put some rusty old fondue pokers into the marshmellow. I put some blue celophane under the pan and shot some photos from various angles. I used fluorescent lighting (kitchen light) and compensated for that with the White Balance in my camera. This was my favorite shot of all the ones I had taken.

There's rust, but the image leaves me wanting something more. The focus is pretty off on some of the utensils, and the background is distracting and competes for the eye. The marshmallow is just rather gross. 2

Yuk! Puts me off marshmallows :P

The blue background is nice. I find it a little hard to focus on the forks because the front one is out of focus.

Absolutely not. Recycle those forks. As the fork on its side could not achieve focus, I think it might just as well be removed. Moving the lower fork out of the shade and into a more consistent direction of attack would also please my eye. Beautiful blue for background.
