this is such an intriguing and interesting shot. I at first i thought the bread and the tongue were the same then i read your description and i "magic" eyed like in the funny pages section the photograph into reality it was abstract in my head... i think i need to test for dislexia. I wanted to say after looking at your win that you deserve an apology for my comment. I said you were cheated of a 7 average but when i clicked your profile it is the first time that all i could see under the challenge thumbs were 7+ your a macro Master and your other photos are not far behind in sharpness and execution of vision and intuition. I wish I had your discipline ;) Are you on facebook? I'd love to ask you some questions about how you achieve your macros and how good the 100 and the 5** flash + stofen is I used to work at best buy and then at the biggest pro shop in ottawa henrys.com as a supervisor(best buy) and to expand my photography knowledge and skill and obviosly discounted gear... i am only missing the macro and the macro light as you can see by my equip if you care to look. by the way my name is Jesse, Hello ;) we are both under the same monarchy just different climate. God Save the queen and all that rubish aye? my cousin roxanne finished her final semester of her communications degree in Sydny now she is back in france she did all the rest of it in ottawa at ottawa u :D i am trying to decide if i should go to Aberdeen, Yokohama or Sydney any thoughts? after sick of 11 eyars hear I would like to travel as there is only myself keeping me here at this point... Inshallah

well bonne chance as they say here in ottawa or Quebec City where i was born.

Kind Regards,

j. c.

Couldn't make out the cow or the tongue until I read the notes. Ha! What a great shot! So, do cows like bread, or was he just curious?

That's an incredible processing you did there roz! I could tell the bread was bread but the tongue looked like an orchid to me.

ROFLMAO! Elephants, bananas! Yeah, thank you for the description. BTW - my grandmother eats cow tongue. But she eats lots of gross stuff. Really cool processing (as usual).

Oh you have NO idea how happy I am that you mentioned the cow! I saw the title of bread and couldn't figure out what kind of bread that was! Made me laugh because as soon as I read about the cow, I could see it plain as day.

Very cool dark color and the texture is hair raising it's so amazing!

Can you believe people eat cow tongue?? ha! Now, from what you wrote, it seems even more disgusting to me. Your processing is awesome here. I am truly into the hand and all the detail brought out in it and the accompanying figures.

I do however like the processing you have done with this image, especially the sepia tones.

Totally WICKED processing, woman!! This is really creepy and wonderful all at once... I am amazed at the texture you brought out on the tongue, looks almost like some kind of plant, and even the bread looks bizarre, more like a poison toadstool...I never would have know what this was without your description :-) I love it, love the gold, love the bizarreness!
