Just one measly dollop of whipped cream?

The image seems a bit dim with a yellowish cast. Some curves and white balance adjustments ought to be easy tweaks for that.

I think to get the dof you might have been looking for, the whipped cream would have to be a little closer. Nice idea!

White balance needs adjusting. The whip cream looks a little too yellow.

That being said, you have good focus on the cream. It's placement in the frame is good, but I think an angled crop could help. Just my opinion.
