love the colour and the DoF just draws you further into the picture...well done

I think the background may be a bit too dar out of field, but I like the portal view and the rusty quality of the foreground.

nice

I agree about the focus on the foreground, however, I would like enough depth of field in this picture so I can see the view as well.

A 7.

you wait thirty years for something to rust nicely and then its cloudy. bummer about the sky, but I like the framing you accomplished.

Just the massive size of this .?. is interesting to see. Nice composition. Maybe a bit more dof. Good luck.

Very nice. Maybe a touch more DOF to bring in the boats, as I think they would add to the appeal rather than distract the eye.

interesting ...the natural framing is great. one thing though...later I noticed how sexual it seems to be... intended?

Nice way to use the rust as a frame into your image. Texture and colors on the rust is superb. I don't know what f-stop you used, but it may be more effective stopped way down on a tripod. Exposure on the background may be a bit hot. Overtall - a very nice entry.

With the title of the photo being the view, what we see in focus is the rusty 'frame' of the picture, which tends to lead my eyes right out of the picture in all directions

Excellent idea, but needs alot more DOF.

Nice shot, shame the view through the hole isn't more interesting - a blue sky in particular would have added a lot
