 This great wreck is "parked" in the middle of Brollsta Golf Course. It looks like it's basically dropped out of the sky, way off any known roads.

Yay, thank you all for friendly notes and votes. Having the image up in 11/443 is quite a kick. I think I might have had it fall out of top 10 because it took almost the entire week to get it validated, but I can only blame myself for entering with a shot that might look suspicious I guess.

To answer those who asked; it's simply partially desaturated. Pretty much all colors except red is desaturated a lot. Probably tweaked color balance and stuff a lot to get it "right" too.

Lovely setting - you've framed this well, I love the highlight on the front of the hood and the difference it presents with the rusty texture of the rest of the car. The monochrome choice is interesting and highlights the rust assignment, but I'm not sure it's necessary.

The placement of the car in the frame is great. The color and detail and nice too. Sepia background? I don't think it contrasts well with the car/rust, maybe leaving it in color would have added more contrast. A very good photo otherwise.

I did not think a sepia treatment would work in this challenge, but somehow you kept the rust look seperate. Good job.

Liked: One of the best rusting car photos submitted because of beauty of surroundings. The strength of the colors of the subject stand out well against the background.
Would have preferred to see more of car or all of it.
Overall photographic quality is quite good and artful.

I like the rusted car, but I'm not so sure about the funky coloring of this photo....it just does not appeal to me

Love Bug indeed! Beautiful shot. A slight crop of left side and top would put the car more in focus and make the trees less distracting imo.
