The story. The weekend before, I was downtown shooting what I could see and I got this: for the slice of life side challenge. So when this challenge opened, I knew that I had to re-do it. The idea of art roflmao living his dream as a life size woody in a department store window was too much to pass up.

We're about 50 miles from downtown, so the trek all the way there two weeks in a row was a fairly big deal, but the shot was worth it, right?
I got all the way down there, turned the corner and...they'd changed their window display. Christmas trees and snowflakes.
I went in and told the receptionist what I was there for. I must have impressed her since she let me go in the back store room and he was there propped up in a corner. The lighting is harsh because all I could do was bounce my flash off the 8 foot ceiling and I couldn't take long because I was keeping her from her work, so this was the best I could come up with.

I appreciate the comments and I understand the score, I just keep thinking of what might have been...

I did quite like this; reading your story only confirms the strength of the inspiration - motivating your 100 mile trek and the receptionist's cooperation.

The composition of the photo is good. However the harsh frontal lighting, causing the refelectiosn, especially straight off the large front of the woody is a distraction. Better defused light would have made this a better shot.

LOL....made me laugh! The lighting is a bit harsh or it's overexposed???? But, still a great shot!

That looks very C3PO! Like the way the set colors pop out.

I'm conflicted - while being a giant woody might be my dream, not having one certainly is not. :-)
