“Another boring challenge,“ Art grumbles to himself, “Shallow DOF, I’ll give you shallow,” he presses the burn tool. Slowly he starts to make circles in the center of the image.
“This will give them something to think about” he says as the center gets darker and darker.
“Black is shallow, black is night, what is more shallow than that,” gritting his teeth, his hand almost unconsciously continues it’s task.
“Black!” he screams as he grinds the mouse into the table. No longer able to control his actions the blackness overwhelms the screen.
Fear grips Art as black is surpassed, the room around him swirls, and yet his hand presses on like it has a mind of it’s own, he howls in pain and the universe stops.

"Grunga boo"….Hunh he thinks , "grunga boo" the voice repeats, Art opens his eyes. It’s dark, "GRUNGA BOO" the voice demands, Art reaches into his pocket, pulls out a lighter and strikes it. "Aaaaiiiii" says the kneeling and shivering little brown man at his feet, "aaaaaaiiiii" repeat the voices in the darkness.
And so starts the rein of the God Ai…

Is that Twilight Zone theme music I hear? :-) could well be! Light a little flat on foreground rock, I'd have tried to shoot from side to give greater sense of dof and make light more interesting.
