 These are bubbles trap in a plastic sphere I bought from Ikea.
placed a purple transpart sheet as a base and had a blue background.

Thanks for responding. I liked this image a lot. I really enjoyed this challenge, and I'm enjoying going through and finding out what everthing was.

Water drops on glass refleting christmas lights? Or maybe they're water drops in oil. I don't know. They're cool though.

Is it one of those glass ornaments which have things embedded in them? In this case other glass balls with bubbles in them ? And the colour and repeated patterns are from the surroundings? Whatever it is it is beautiful.

Liking the composition and DOF. Personally I would have cropped tighter on the top right. Great shot, gets a good score from me.
