Ok, thanks for the kind remarks. So just to let you know in case you were wondering it is a squid eye. some of you were spot on, others close. Thanks for all comments good and bad :)

A stumper, so meets the challenge. This image is a practically perfect execution of the challenge. Strong technically. Interesting. Worth revisiting. Among best of show.
