 I took advantage of the Advanced editing rules to do some D & b, and some cloning of spots, stray threads and/or hairs that were stuck to the top of some of these straws. That's right - they are a set of pastel coloured drinking straws, lit from underneath and the left side to create the light patterns on the inside of the straws.

Editing was fairly straight forward, the normal tweaks in DPP, and in CS 2, I used curves, reduced noise, USM, hue/sat, brightness contrast, levels, selective colour, etc. As well as some D&B and minor cloning, as mentioned. not sure of the order of these. Also cropped, reduced size and saved for the web.

Hope it does well.

They look too elegant to be drinking straws or craft tubing, so I don't know. They make a really beautiful image. 10
