composition of 2 pictures. one exposed for the water and sky the other one for the tree and the roots. Using layer mask to combine both. b/w conversion, small amount of sepia.

Gorgeous, simple, clean, sharp, well executed shot. This just reeks of loneliness. The twisted roots entwining the sand speak to me. I am so impressed, well done

Tough subject. Those branches oversharpen easily, which you avoided, but they look too soft here. It's a fine line. I think the composition of the tree lets us down a bit. 5

has a certain crunchy quality in the post processing that isn't very attractive

I've been a little bugged by images that seem to have been overburned these days. I don't get it. When I first learned to burn and went too far my images suffered from what now seems like something that's become popular.
