 I got the idea for this picture from a professional abstract photogragher that photograghs big freighters in a shipyard near where he lives. Many of them have been painted again and again and have faded and flaked over time, leaving interesting colors and patterns on their hulls. He photograghs these hulls reflected in the water. They come out as beautiful abstracts.
Living in East Tennesse and having no shipyard near me, I had to settle with a nearby lake and some house boat hulls. I still found them interesting in their pattern and diversity when looked at from this perspective.
No post editing was needed here, just resized and border added.
Hope you all enjoy it.

This surprised me. Thumbnail didn't hint at how much I'd like this image, but it has a subtle power to draw the eye. Feels very Manet somehow. 10

reminds me a lot of an abstract painting ... would have benefitted from slight counter clockwise rotation and maybe not smack in the middle

the water is so still if the title hadn't suggested it you wouldn't even know it was a reflection, well done

I suppose this is the correct definition of 'abstract'. With all meaning abstracted.
Unfortunately it doesn't make a very interesting image.

I like this one a lot, the natural colors. The line isn´t quite straight

But still a good pic, simple and cool good work!!

The shot is so elegant and graceful, but the border you've chosen is rather clumsy.

Looks like a reflection of a concrete wall on a river. I like the lines and the colors. Wish it were a bit more vibrant.
