This is the first try with my new 50mm lens and the Promaster Close-up filters. I was looking for an inexpensive solution to replace my S5's super macro mode. Not sure I've done that yet but it's as well as the S5's normal macro mode if not better.

I don't know about that guy. Something about him looks particularly nasty. Hopefully he is rather small.

Nice. I'm going to look at the info on your blog. I also have a rebel and a 50mm 1.4 lens. I'd love to get good macros without investing in a new macro lens.
