this is a rock crystal that I have had laying around for some time. Really struggled with the lighting - too much light and the colour looked blown and the crystal structure disappeared - too little and the it just looked wrong and the crystal structure disappeared!
finally ended up with this best effort.
Very little pp white balance, some dust removal, curves, usm, save for web.

Another crystal, and I'm going to say the same thing: wish there were more shadows, this just looks like a lump of blue, it loses its texture with even lighting.
