I was inspired by an Edith Wharton quote when I first saw the challenge. I had a huge problem getting the light right so if you have suggestions I would love to hear them.

It's a neat little setup, I like how the green candle lines up right to have the flame in the mirror. What's difficult here is the lightning. It looked like your camera picked a higher sensitivity or ISO due to less available light, that's where all the chroma and luminance noise come from giving it that more snapshotish look. Try have one strong, dominant light source, you'd be amazed at the difference it can make. Hope that helps!

I would like this better if the fabric were plainer. Very cool concept! :)

A nice concept, though I think the shot itself is coming off to me more like a high ISO snapshot. There is a fair amount of ISO grain hurting the smooth appearance of the candle holders. Perhaps a lower ISO and longer shutter speed could help with that, though I won't know your shot settings until after the challenge.

Neat idea and set up, good trickery with mirror, this is just lacking something I can't put my finger on, maybe its the wicker border, 6.

NICE! Great juxtaposition, and really creative. The shape of the candles (especially the way the work in the mirror is great). I'd love to see a full reflection without the basket blocking the reflection of the bases of the candles. Other than that, great shot!
