This morning I loaded up early (well, 8 am) and headed off to "early voting" at the local library.

The pic was just shot in Aperture Priority with the sun hitting from camera right at about 9 am.

Interesting not to see any presidential signs there. Its amazing to me how much money is spent each election just to be tossed out in the trash.

Signs, signs, every where are signs, blocking up the scenery trying to change our minds. i hate the political season. Nice capture to show the world why we need a year to elect somebody.

This is what the slice of life side challenges are all about. I see these all over here too, just different names.

Nice shot Bernard - this could have been entered into the pollution challenge - I think it could have gone rather well...lol. I wonder if the pollies ever think about where all this stuff ends up. BTW nice lighting on the signs and even better DOF with the cemetery in the background......yeh ok! I'm a cynic...

OH dear Lord, won't you be glad when all these elections are finished!! They should make a requirement if you stick these things out you HAVE to go around afterward & pick them up, how many of these things do you think end up laying along the road for months...
Definitely a slice of life! :)

candidate clutter!! Here (VT) they are arguing about how far from the edge of the road they need to be placed, and NOT into the ROW...

ironic how close to the graveyard the placards are...some profound thinkers could no doubt come up with some link ...

:)

A lot of signs here. Election signs, traffic signs and a graveyard (?). I like it. Seems you toke "early voting" very literally.

This is so interesting - historical as well as informative. I am tired of all the signs around here, probably because I see them every day and it's really evident in this small, very partisan town, who is going to vote for whom. What I see from your image is that you have a lot of women running for office - which is, sadly, not the case here; and that you vote for governor and school board officials in a presidential election year. In Colorado, those elections will occur mid-term for Presidential elections. Excellent capture!
