... So I can admit when I make a mistake and I think I have to agree with a couple of the comments here...

I orginally took this shot with the view of rotating the canvas as per this entry. I really liked it and have a 20x16 framed print in my living room.

However.... After a few days I started to feel it would be stronger in it's natural rotation and so I took the frame down and moved the mounts and it is now sitting landscape in my lounge.

I still love it and it's sooooooo much better in big print.

The lighting is simple, one softbox to camera left lighting the hands and baby (me, my wife, and my boy Nathaniel - 2 months old now :0) ) then a snoot from camera right pointing at the background to give the gradient

Thanks for looking and sorry for submitting the wrong orientation

This way up this makes me cringe. Turn it around for goodness sake.

I hate when people rotate the pictures for no apparent reason. I think it would have worked so much better in the original orientation. why reinvent the wheel?

While many people focused on the second coming of Jesus, a little event took place in Athens in the year 2008 that few took note of, but was an important moment nonetheless. For it was the second coming of Heracles, and as Alcmena extended her half-god son into the waiting hands of Zeus, a new era of Olympia was about to begin.

And humanity as we know it was about to end.
