I have studied this for a while, I cannot see how or why it would suggest upside down, the lit object on the left does not have enough detail for me to see exactly what it is so maybe that is upside down?

I think the flame of the candle needs to be shown in the one on the left... to make the viewer realize that that's what's being reflected in the wine glass. It took me a long bit of studying to figure it out.

Nice and sharp on the glass.

Just wow!
Love the tones in this and the couple of seconds it takes to realise whats upside down.
