I like that you've picked the bee out of a mass of portions of plant by the use of clever focussing, although I feel that its head is a little lost in its quest for pollen.

Wow!! really nice colors and good use of lighting. imo the flowers on the top, are a bit distracting, but it's kind of difficult with these little guys, since they move so fast.

Great colours and detail in the bee and the wings, they are hard to capture ... the oof flowers at the top are a little distracting and it would be nice to have a tighter crop on the bee but still a nice shot

WOW..... nice and close on the bee, and I love the fine detail and textures of the bee, as well. The soft and detailed background, has some perfect DOF, and I also love the 'Aussie' colors of green and gold in the background, as the bee really stands out.

The bee is quite beautiful, especially the the back wing. The colours are also very pleasing in this image. Sharpness is alright, except that it seems to be a bit behind the bee (or at the bee's backside) - it might work better to have the whole bee sharp, or at least have a bit more sharpness towards the front side. The composition is rather busy. The bee almost gets lost in so much stuff here. I personally really don't much care for the grainy sort of border, to me it takes away from the image, but that is a matter of personal taste I suppose.

Welcome to the challenge,

What I like, good colors, good sharpness, pretty good detail.

What I suggest for your next shot. Lose the distractions at the top, crop?
I'd also wait and see if you can get his head. If you are going to shoot the whole bug, I think you need the eyes in focus and looking at the viewer. Good start, cant wait to see the next 9 you bring.
